Tutoring Resources

Whether you need tutoring or want to reinforce what you’ve learned in class, help with coursework is around the corner.

For Current Students

The Humboldt Learning Center offers free academic support services for specific math and statistics courses, in addition to paid and volunteer opportunities to support your peers.

Tutoring
The Math Tutoring Lab is a free drop-in service for Humboldt students enrolled in math and statistics courses. Student tutors are available for algebra, trig/pre-calc, calculus, intro stats classes and more. Students can study individually or in groups. No appointment necessary.

Supplemental Instruction
With the structure and personalized attention of tutoring and the camaraderie of a study group, Supplemental Instruction is a free, peer-led academic support program for specific lower-division core math and science classes. Trained Supplemental Instruction Leaders are Humboldt students who have already taken the course they’re facilitating. They not only help reinforce what you’ve learned but also share study tips that helped them succeed.

For specific times and how to become a tutor or Supplemental Instruction Leader, go to learning.humboldt.edu.
