Arts & Humanities students can satisfy their Area B GE requirement with any of the Area B courses they have the prerequisites for (MATH 101, 102, 103, 104, 105, 109 or Stat 108, 109) but they're strongly encouraged to take MATH 103.

Category 4 students are required to take MATH 3 and Math 103i. Together these courses provide 5 hours of instruction per week that covers the regular MATH 103 course content and provides support with prerequisite math material as needed. Category 3 students may take either the supported courses or non-supported MATH 103 course.
